About Me
Hello,
My name is Filiz Deniz Sözer, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
I work with adults, children, and adolescents in psychotherapy.
I graduated with high honors from the Psychology Department at Bilkent University in 2020. During my undergraduate studies, I completed internships in clinical, forensic, developmental, and industrial psychology. I also worked as a research assistant at the Bilkent University Developmental Psychology Laboratory, and took part in coding and fMRI imaging processes at the Neuropsychology Laboratory of the University of Konstanz (Germany). I completed my undergraduate thesis on "The relationship between maternal language used during free play and children’s theory of mind development".
Following my undergraduate education, I completed training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapies and European Accredited Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (EABCT). While completing 456 hours of theoretical and practical training under the supervision of CEU Salvador, I began the International Clinical Psychology master’s program at Erasmus University Rotterdam. I completed my master’s thesis on "Acceptance-based emotion and physical pain regulation in individuals with low tolerance for uncertainty". In 2023, I successfully completed both programs and obtained my titles as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist.
